What a night!!!!

I dont think I've ever been to a better show. It was absolutely phenomenal! I was there at 5 o'clock and was feeling so nervous...I didn't even know why! I kept thinking that if this was how i was feeling then imagine how the lads are!
Shayne Ward came on around 7 O'clock and was great! He really got the half filled stadium going and we were all up dancing to the song he was singing. It took me a few minutes to realise it was him though because I thought it was an orchestra or something and he was the conductor! I was pleasantly surprised! haha!
It was 10 past 9 when Westlife came on stage and i don't think I've ever been that excited in my life! Like every other Irish fan I think we've been counting down the days to Croke Park since Westlife started! I nearly died when they opened with "Hit You With The Real Thing" because I wasn't expecting it at all! It was amazing! The show itself went really REALLY fast and before I knew it the lads were saying goodbye! I was looking around going, "What?! It's only been like half an hour" when it was 20 to 11! I don't think I've ever been so emotional at a show either! I was all teary at a lot of songs but when I saw Shane let a little tear out that just got me going! And when they said they were so proud to be Irish that got me going again! I was screaming things like, "We're so proud that yer Irish lads!! Yer doing us proud! 10 more years!" When they sang "You Raise Me Up" I blubbed my way through it! They sang it beautifully and I was so sad at the thought of having to wait until 2010 to see them live again! It was easily the best concert I've ever been to and I'll be queueing outside the shop to buy the DVD!

Have a great break lads and we'll see ye in 2010, when we'll be counting down the days to the 20th anniversary!!

Love Ye lads!!!

OMG! BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!
Can't even begin to explain it but I'll try!

I WAS FRONT ROW CENTRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually can't believe it was cryin so much haha! Got the 5am bus from Belfast and arrived at 8am! Took us ages to find Croke park! Ended up being 10th in the queue which I was shocked at as I expected wayyy more people! While queing me and my mates decided to write our fave members name on our cheeks and the Westlife font 'w' on the other lol! Everything was going well for the 1st few people there untill the last minute when they put us into queues at turnstiles...so the people there from 8am and before where in a queue and people there wayyyyyyy later were in another queue...and both our turnstiles opened at the same time! (Other than that the Croke Park staff were amazing!!!)
Then everyone had to battle their way through a crowd to get a wristband...the people putting them on were sooooo slow! Then you had to push your way out of a crowd and then go to the pitch...was the longest run ever! I have never ran sooo fast in my life!!! Then got a small space at the very front and soon my 5 mates joined me...some of us squeezed in. Felt sick after that lol...And it didn't help that I had barely eaten or drank all day! The weather was sooo hot so all I ate was an ice lolly...plus I felt sick, i.e. "westlife-nervous-sick"! But it all turned out well and was well worth it when I got front row centre...my 1st ever! Finally I've had perfect luck with Westlife haha! Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Now to the actual concert...

Well the wait was soooo long! Basically everyone in the Golden Circle was sitting down but there wasn't enough room at the front! But managed to sit down for a while...needed to cause my feet were killing me! The good thing was that if you wanted to you could leave and come back to your space pretty easily! I never went though cause I was clinging onto my front row spot for dear life haha!

Well firstly...Shayne Ward was really good! He sang the Fields of Athenry which was amazing! Was a great proud Irish moment!

The the lads...
Of course they were on top form all night and you could see they were just shocked to be there! There faces were like...Omg can't believe we're actually here!
Before they came out we could sorta see them under the stage. There was a black curtain covering under the stage but you could see a few wee lights (like lighters) and then right infront of me spotted Nicky and his aviators...well I'm pretty sure it was him anyway haha! Then saw Kian too!

When they came up the reception was unreal as you'd imagine!
For the medley they went out on a bridge behind the Golden Circle...pretty raging they went away on the best bit haha! But it was actually pretty good cause we didn't have to worry about cameras or getting their attention so everyone was just enjoying it! Let me entertian you was immense! The whole Golden Circle were just jumping up and down going nuts lol!

Nicky also took a camcorder out on stage! And was filming the crowd. Him and Kian were messing about with it was so funny! Shane also got the crowd to do a mexican wave and they did their group photo! From the front and back !

I was lucky that Nicky was pretty much infront of me throughout the show!
Just wanna say THANKS SOOO MUCH NICKY! for giving me reconitionm at least 4times!
He gave me his wee wink lol, he pointed the microphone stand at me during when your lookin like that, saluted me and at other times gave me eye contant !
Really just made the night speclactular!!! Thanks again!

During the last few songs I was balling my eyes out! Was so emotional...all my mates were cryng too and a lot of people around us! Couldn't believe I wouldn't see the guys for 2years (Cause I only really get to see them at tour time).

Then got the bus home at midnight...absolutely knackered, starving and with a really sore throat! Slept (well tried to) most of the way home! Only had 4 hours sleep the night before and had been awake 20hours! See the stuff we do for you Westlife! Haha but it's all worth it! Dunno what we're gonna do without them next year!

Just want to say...
THANK YOU WESTLIFE FOR THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!

BEST NITE OF MY LIFE!!
Cant believe its over already, went too fast!
Right it must be because im Irish and was in my national stadium it felt soo special bein there and soo Irish!

Arrived there at about 2, got food then decided to buy a tricolour cos my friend stupidly forgot hers!and out of boredom we went and searched for permanant markers and sat in the street making r beautiful tricolour (which got us a wave from Shayne Ward and Shane Filan )

Went in to the stadium and messed about with the camera, my friend was learning her GCSE Drama script lol..went to find food and heard music and people singin, i went to check who it was and didnt recognise them was like some people playing instruments!we went back to sit down and realised it was Shayne Ward lol..he was absolutely amazin!Got a bit emotional due to the crowds response to him!He sang Fields Of Athenry!!couldnt believe it!it was class everyone in the stadium singing one of the most popular Irish songs!felt very proud!he sang Melt the Snow, which i absolutely love!then he came over to our side and a girl behind us told us to stand up and wave our flag and he waved at us!We sat and waited for westlife to come on, did about 50 mexican waves lol then Georgina and her family came along!chanted bertie bertie then sat down again, did more mexican waves then the lads came on!took about 10 pics then gave up cos i wanted to remember the concert!the lads were on top form never seen them as happy as they were last nite!dont think they could actually believe how many people came to see them!was very emotional!Swear it again got me all tearful, then mark doin his speech then having to turn away from the crowd also brought me more tears, and seeing shane struggling to keep himself from crying also did but it was when Nicky said he was "so proud to be Irish" that did it for me!it was nice to see them all together in a hug too!the concert was a bit of a blur for me!i enjoyed it soo much!and when Kian said this was the worst part - saying goodbye i thought he was joking but he wasnt lol!I just cried the whole way through flying without wings because i knew it was coming to an end and we have to wait till 2010 to see them again but they deserve every minute they get off! What made it even more special was the fact that i shared it with my two best friends!and ive never been prouder of being Irish than i was yesterday!

Good luck lads and i cant wait till c yas in 2010!

I don't really know where to start, it was such an overwhelming night! Without a doubt the best Westlife night ever! Looking forward to it since November our excitement reached it's highest point getting dressed in our hotelroom before the show. That weird feeling in your stomach, feeling nervous when noone is actually expecting anything from you. So around 7 we walked into Croke Park, loads of people were already there, it was amazing! I got goosebumps everywhere! And the people were only singing Shane Ward songs and the stadion wasn't even half fulled yet. From that moment on all I could think about was were the lads would be, looking down on all those people? What would they be feeling? Never have I wondered more what would be going through their minds, when my mind was going crazy the way it did and my body was reacting with goosebumps and shiffers seeing all those people, what would it do to them?

Around 9 O'clock... SHOWTIME! The setlist was the same as during the rest of the tour, but hearing the first sounds of Westlife... OUR Westlife's song was a feeling I just can't describe. I was overwhelmed by pride, look how far they've come! Look what they did! Although the setlist was the same, the show was soo diffrent! Their face expressions showed pride, shock, excitement, amazement and emotions, loads of emotions! You could feel how much they were enjoying this and you could just see how much this meant to them. This was THE show! From 'What Makes A Man' on, when Shane let a few tears, I had to struggle to keep the tears in, but at the Thank Yous I couldn't do it any longer. The way they tried to describe the feelings inside them, the pride they were feeling, the way they thanked their family and friends. I couldn't feel anything but proud of them, and being a true Westlife fan. Never did I see a show that did so much to me emotionally, even now, quiet a few hours after the show, I get tears in my eyes. Seeing them get off stage for the last time was soo hard, knowing it was the last time until 2010 I saw them live, but I know that someday, we'll all be back in that same stadion, for an even bigger show. Lads, you were amazing! Thank you soo much! Love ya!

Well were do you start Ireland basking in sunshine sitting in our national stadium seating over 82,000 people and waiting for the biggest boyband in the world to take to the stage I truely believe Sunday 1st of June I was in heaven. The build up was amazing with the 10 year chant being roared the loudest it ever has and then the music started Croker went mental and I found myself nearly falling over the Hogan stand at least I would have went happily lol. The show was incredible the fireworks were out of this world and to just see the boy's faces when they said good evening croke park and when shane heard the words being sung back to him for the first time god what a moment. Throughout the evening things just got better and then came the moment when Nicky asked for the mobile phone lights to be held up I found myslef looking around and suddenly filling up with tears this is for you boys 10 years at the top and look were here for you 82,000 people 82,000 westlife fans pretty special and thank god I was there to witness the best and most special show on earth! Thank you Kian,Shane,Mark and Nicky for making the last 10 years so special and for a fantastic night in Croker and here's to 10 more!!!

CROKE PARK = My very 1. Westlifeconcert

I have to admit that I didn't know Westlife 1,5 years ago. I'm in Ireland since 9 months, taking a year off and I just wanted to go to a proper concert.

The Westlife advertisment came up first in the newspaper so I went for them. I only knew Uptown girl then...

I didn't expect much from the concert. One day before it, I was even dreading it..The day came and I was totally calm.

I didn't know Shayne Ward until I came to Ireland but in my opinion he was such a GRAND supportact.. Usually the support acts a really boring but.. he.. wow..

I really liked the mask thing in the beggining and I really liked "No promises" because he included the Fans to sing along..

I was a little pissed because our seats where at the shadow side and it was freezing cold. And the people on the other side had the sun and got sunburns.

But suddenly I heard screams and Georgina and Miriam with Jay and Rocco came down to SIT IN THE ROW BEFORE ME!!!
Not only they came.. but also Bertie Ahern, Peter and Mae Filan, Nikki and Yvonne Byrne, Gillian with Nicole and Nickys sister Gillian with her son Zack.

I would have never thought that they would sit between the Fans. It was such a magical moment and I had tears in my eyes. (I have them right now too, while writing this..)

Then the boys came and everyone was having a great time.. "What makes a man" and "I'm already there" I think Shane was very emotional about those too.. tears glistening in his eyes... that makes him very sympathic..

I actually was a bit dissapointed that nothing embarassing had happened because it's the little mistakes that are making a concert special... (I know they were filming the DVD, but hey?)

I preferred the Ratpack and the acoustic section.

It's nice to see the lads doing some other songs and the best on the acoustic set was Kian playing guitar... He can play and I think it would be great if he would do it more often.
It makes them different to other boygroups, who can't play instruments.

All in All! As my first Westlife concert.. it was very Great...

But I want to say one more thing:

LADS!
Germany needs you, too!

(Maybe after the break.. coz Shane.. there are still fans over there.. )

Best wishes to the lads and have a nice and happy year off...
You earn it!

Katie

i was one of the few people waiting there as nicky drove into croke park .. i saw him coming and wanted to tell my mum and my twin sister but it just wouldnt come out..thats the closest ive been to nicky and omg i couldnt stop shaking ! i was that close to him i could of touched him ! :L Another funny story is that after nicky had drove in a black car followed with a man and a video camera (i think he was recording) so there we was looking in the car to see if we could see westlife so if he was recording there would be us with squinted faces trying to look through the tinted windows to see it westlife was there.

I also met someone there who ive seen from the bords.

well these are just a few of my memories at croke park x
lovee youu
